Kyo-ori refers to yarn-dyed textiles produced in Kyoto. Its beauty, with intricate patterns woven from various colored threads, is famous as a representative Japanese textile.
A characteristic feature is its ability to reproduce glossy patterns and weave three-dimensional designs by dyeing the yarn prior to weaving.
