History of Kyo-Aburatorigami (Kyoto blotting paper)

The art of making gold leaf, which adorned Kyoto's beautiful temples, Buddha statues, and kimonos, originated in Kyoto and was passed down to Kanazawa. Gold leaf beating paper was used to pound tiny pieces of gold over and over again into thin gold leaf. Since ancient times, it has been cherished by women as oil-blotting paper and continues to be so today.

Excellent absorbency! Recommended for oily skin

It prevents makeup from smudging and skin problems by absorbing oil and dirt by gently pressing it against your skin, while leaving your foundation intact.

With a special coating (glossy surface), oil will not stick to your fingers, allowing you to always use it cleanly. It is a strong blotting paper with excellent strength and water resistance, making it tear-resistant.

Luxurious, Kyoto-esque design featuring gold and silver

The cover of the blotting paper features a luxurious, elegant, and Japanese-style design, primarily using gold and silver, typical of Kyoto. It is also a delightful souvenir from Japan.

Each booklet contains a generous 40 sheets.
